03:26 (EST)Though it's called Miami, this is from Nicaragua. Medium-bodied, with an even burn and lots of sweet smoke. A solid, straightforward smoke, and also a relatively affordable (key word: relatively!) intro to this premium brand.

10:28 (EST)I have different experiences with different sticks of the same kind of cigar. The first one I had of these was about a month ago. Good draw, wrapper was good and an even burn. Flavor was full, some chocolatey taste with a little sweetness and some earthy undertones. Then a few days ago, I had another one from a different box given by a friend. Taste was bland, bad burn, wrapper gave sort of a stale taste. With this cigar, it's all about luck. If you're lucky, you get the good ones. If not, well, you get what I got.

11:37 (EST)Toro reinvents how Pepin sticks should be experienced. The smoke is clearly not the best among Pepin cigars, but the stogie is affordable and reasonably priced, considering the Pepins cost a lot more than others. The exquisite flavor, particularly the spice in the first forth of the stick, immediately makes an impression to smokers. Of course, the sturdy construction and nice draw gain quite an attention as well. Three words: worth a try.
