11:57 (EST)I read that these were created for Avo Uvezian’s 75th birthday, but were such a hit that they were added to the regular line. So I expected a lot, which is probably why I’m disappointed. Good but not great, especially for a limited edition of an already premium line. These are probably best for hardcore Avo fans, who want their favorite mild brand to hold their hand as they gingerly experiment with a bigger flavor.

10:25 (EST)The Corona scores well with the wrapper being silky and free of veins. However, the good things about the smoke end here, as we begin discussing its problems regarding taste. The nutty flavor was unremarkable and possessed no strength that could at least make an indelible mark to the smoker. Doing time in the humidor would definitely make the taste more refine after a couple of months or so. The draw was not as tight as it should be, although the construction and burn were pretty well. Still, if one were to experience the goodness of a Corona, it would probably take some time inside the humidor before that happens.

09:54 (EST)You know how they say about looks being deceiving—well, that’s how I’d sum up my experience with this cigar. You can’t blame me—it came in this gorgeous, silky smooth wrapper, the burn was superb, the draw perfect, and it is an AVO after all. But it would never be one to hold its own in terms of flavor. There was no depth or strength, nothing outstanding. Would I recommend this to anyone? You know the answer to that one.
