Arturo Fuente Hemingway Short Story Cigar Review

Review
The Short Story happens to be one of the most unique cigars that Arturo Fuente Hemingway has created throughout the years, as it the smallest in the cigar line (4 x 48) and was originally meant for personal use by Carlos Fuente Sr. However, it was soon distributed and went on to become one of the most popular cigars from the line. The Cameroon wrapper holds the Dominican binder and filler and is finished in perfecto shape. The woody aromas, sublime flavor and the spicy finish result to a medium to full-bodied cigar.
Just like an Ernest Hemingway novel, the Short Short takes time before everything finally assumes their proper place. The cigar grabs your attention with a combination of cedar and the sweetness of cocoa at the tip upon initial smoke. After ten minutes or so, the bitterness and woody flavor takes hold of the smoker and it gets bitterer and spicier as the cigar progressed. Although the Short Story is good out from the box, a couple of months inside the humidor would help get the flavor of the cigar more. Overall, although a bit on the expensive side of things, the cigar is definitely a 30-minute excursion in the realm of bitterly goodness.

01:53 (EST)Fantastic smoke. Definitely a two drink minimum. Begin with a New Castle Brown and move into a Smoked Porter. The complexity of the cigar changes throughout the smoke. Change your beverage with it. You won't be sorry.

09:17 (EST)Wow! Looks like all of you love the Arturo Fuente Hemingway Short Story but I am just an average fan. Not sure what the hype is all about. The cigar has an above average taste but that is about all. The price is right but would rater smoke a Punch or CAO. Perhaps I should give it another try.

02:34 (EST)If you've got a name like that, you'd better be sure you're made of legendary stuff. Like a real short story by the famous author, this cigar looked classic, strong, no-nonsense. The aroma, like a Hemingway narrative, was dark and mysterious qualities that went on as I made my first draw, Then the tone shifted to woody and nutty, and finished off a bit strong and hard. True to Hemingway's style, this cigar leaves no stereotype ending.

09:42 (EST)Despite being one of the smallest cigars under the Arturo Fuente Hemingway line, the Short Story packs in not only flavor and taste, but also complexity to keep smokers interested throughout the 30-minute endeavor. The sweet flavor of the cocoa was evident from start to finish. Meanwhile, the fruitiness kicked things off until bitterness of woody and earth tones eventually took control of the cigar midway up to the end. Definitely a lot of flavors going on in the cigar, but all of them complimented each other harmoniously.

08:20 (EST)I hate running with the crowd, but I have to agree on this one: it’s a killer. Short but powerful, and like the guy’s sentences, spare at first glance but packed with complexity. Full-size prize for a small-size cigar, but worth it.
