08:52 (EST)Smoking one of these is like reading one of the famed author’s celebrated stories—great structure, consistent throughout, and utterly enjoyable. Lighting and burn were both perfect, and maintained well through the draw. There were hints of wood at first, but, like turning a new page, the woodiness was replaced by vanilla and pepper. Medium-bodied and mild, I know I’ll ask for another Hemingway Signature if I want to get that solid experience.

07:30 (EST)Good mild/medium flavor, in an unusual tapered shape (perfecto) that Fuente revived and was promptly copied by others. A beauty, all-around excellent, out of my reach for everyday smoking but definitely makes any day special. Papa Hemingway would’ve approved.

08:15 (EST)Just like most of the cigars under the Arturo Fuente Hemingway line, the Signature maintains a certain amount of sweetness, thanks to the Cameroon wrapper. The variety of flavors contained in the Signature has to be recommended. From initial smoke, up until halfway. The cigar boasted complexity as the wood, vanilla, and pepper tones give it a sort of kick. However, the taste mellowed out a bit and turned inconsistent after the halfway mark. All in all, the Signature is an interesting cigar, most particularly the first half of the smoke.
