09:54 (EST)Being a fan of the Bolivar Cuba line, I immediately snatched the Corona Extra from the retailer without much doubt that it's going to kick ass. Unfortunately, the stick did not totally impress me as a Cuban cigar. Sure, the fairly solid construction, fragrant pre-light aroma, and the pepper-cum-cocoa profile were pleasant enough to satisfy smokers with their cigar needs. However, all of those qualities were just adequate enough to produce a solid smoke and not a good one. Still, for variety, purchase the Corona Extra and enjoy a simple smoke.

09:41 (EST)Small and terribly good, the Corona Extra is not without faults. The construction should have been loosened a bit, allowing for a more comfortable draw, while the uneven burn can get on your nerves. With all those things out of the way, however, the irresistibly toasty core mixed in with the leather tones nearing the end of the smoke should be smoked for yourselves. Approximately a year on your humidor would make the Corona Extra even better.

08:50 (EST)A terrific smoke. Medium-strong, and spicy like others in the Bolivar line. These are good right away, but much better after a year or so.

07:35 (EST)Typical coffee and nutty flavor. Good creamy taste though. Rolled nice and tight, but had a little struggle with the tight draw in the beginning. Easy to light but with the uneven burn towards the end, I had to relight a couple of times. It could do a lot better for a pricey cigar.

11:39 (EST)The Corona Extra starts off pretty well with its adequate draw and burn, as well as solid construction to boot. However, the flavors and experience with the cigar progressed as the smoke burned longer. Uneven burn of the second half aside, there is a great variety of tones such as butter and leather amidst a satisfying toasty profile. The nuttiness and hot smoke characteristic among small cigars are prominent in the end. Adding all things up, the Corona Extra is well-bodied and variety enough to consider it part of your smoke collection.
