Review
CAO America Monument is a worthy addition to distinguished CAO cigar stable, what with its handsome appearance and superb construction. But the America stands out from the rest with its funky pinstripe look made of double Connecticut wrappers. Of Brazilian binder, it is a great full-bodied cigar that will never fail to please the discriminating smoker.
Upon first draw, the premium taste of leather comes about, followed by hints of coffee and nuttiness. Expect this to stay consistent all throughout the smoke, with a nice and even burn that rates tops in performance. This would be an ideal cigar for those who want things serious and no-nonsense, for a remarkable experience that can be taken from the boardroom to after-hours.
The CAO America, with its smooth, masculine qualities, is best for every suave, sophisticated CEO whose decisions are followed and preferences copied by the less gifted. With this cigar’s firm demeanor and flavors, it is definitely an acquired taste.

07:23 (EST)Very nice full flavored Cigar. Looks great and makes me look even better when I'm cleaning the house. I've been treating myself when I'm doing the dishes after a good meal.

07:21 (EST)Glad Half Smoked selected the CAO America. You opened my eyes to a new cigar from CAO. The barber style wrap is fantastic but a bit mild for my taste. The cigar is worth the price and would recommend it to anyone who wants to try something different.

06:51 (EST)Great looking cigar. The CAO America is the best cigar to give as a gift. Looks sweet but not too strong (and not that expensive).

05:48 (EST)The appearance drew this one to me and really enjoyed it while watching the Jets lose to the Dolphins this past Monday night. A little overpriced but well rolled with good flavors

11:34 (EST)I was curious about the CAO American because of the spiral 'barber-pole' wrapper, made of one natural and one sun-grown Connecticut maduro. I don't know if this wrap-per is the reason, but of the five or so I've smoked three have had construction issues: tunneling, canoeing and otherwise falling apart. Taste-wise it is certainly a nice change –- mellow and a little spicy -- but not enough for the extra effort.

06:16 (EST)Always been a CAO fan. The America is a good smoke. Nice med to full flavor but not too spicy at the end.

10:18 (EST)Put your best foot forward and impress people with your smart, elegant taste. Let this cigar give you its stamp of approval and you're made. Handsome, solidly-packed, and consistent, the CAO America is truly a monument to the flavors of spice, earth, and oak.

09:28 (EST)So called because its wrapper and some filler are Connecticut tobacco, with a torpedo shape. Looks unusual with its striped/barber-pole wrap and US-flag-waving band. Unfortunately, this is one of CAO's most full-bodied cigars according to them -- but a mild-medium one according to me! So I didn't get what I expected, but on its own terms it is a nicely-flavored if somewhat overpriced cigar

12:49 (EST)When it comes to the construction and appearance, the CAO America is akin to an unforgettable dream with a tight roll and great draw. Upon smoking, the cigar has a soft pretzel flavor (notes of earthy and spicy flavor) that burst in your mouth, making for a tasty medium body stick. However, the flavor loses its identity once it fades into bland territory halfway. The burn is the biggest issue of this smoke because of its unevenness, requires you constant touch ups before getting the burn right. Far from being monolithic, but the CAO America does present itself as an adequate medium-bodied cigar.

04:33 (EST)Not a bad bone. Much better than a few of their other ones. I love smoking this one on the fourth of july. It does have a tendency to smoke uneven...

11:47 (EST)I have always been a fan of CAO. Love the appearance of the CAO America. However, my favorite cigar from CAO is still the Brazilia
