DAVIDOFF Cigar Review

Review
Luxury mild cigars handmade in the Dominican Republic. Created by Zino Davidoff, scion of a Russian émigré family in the tobacco business and also the inventor of the first desktop humidor. Following Davidoff’s death, the cigar manufacturing is now over-seen by master tobacco blender Hendrik Kelner: an eminence in his own right whose name also crops up in histories of the Avo and Arturo Fuente brands.
Known among devotees for their rich, creamy smoothness, consistency and elegant imagery, Davidoffs are sometimes described as Cohiba clones with a lighter wrapper. Depending on the variety, that wrapper is Connecticut Shade, Ecuadoran or Dominican, with binder and filler made from prime Dominican leaves that have been stored up to 4 years before blending.
With flavours that are mild yet complex, Davidoff cigars are great for introducing novice smokers to flavor. Though undeniably expensive, they’re an essential sample for all but the most hard-core full-bodied smokers.
