Again, Davidoff never fails to deliver another mild-bodied smoke to the masses, and this time, it's named the Grand Cur No. 1. To its credit, the cigar gives enough flavors for a savory feeling on your mouth after the whole shebang. However, given its bland and one-dimensional profile, that faint hint of taste won't last long. Again, the construction of the cigar is pretty top-notch, just like any other Davidoff. Still, people will still have to get past the borderline-bland taste, which is something that some won't enjoy.

As a cigar, the Grand Cru No. 1 is pure class. All the elements of an awesome smoke that you could think of are in this pup: excellent construction (despite the roughness of the wrapper), smooth and bold profile, and exquisite burn and draw. However, if there's something that draws back this fine cigar, then it's got to be its price tag ($12). People could get the same quality of smoke that the No. 1 puts out with around half the price. Still, for those who crave to vary their smoking habits and not worry about the expenses with an exceptional stick, then this ought to do it.

A strong Lonsdale, from a maker known for mild – that should tell you some-thing. Very good, but for its price there are better strong smokes out there.

Arguably the best Davidoff cigar, the Grand Cru No. 1 is pretty much the embodiment of the cigar line. The trademark pre-light aroma whets your taste buds while the sturdy construction allows you to smoke the whole thing with little interruptions. However, it is the mild and smooth flavors that surprisingly make an impression all throughout. Mild has never been such a pleasurable and tasty experience with the Grand Cru No. 1.

One of Davidoff's finest. The look is one of their more traditional with the shape and fine wrapper. They were rolled nice and tight so it burned nicely and consistently all the way through last inch. It had the taste of a nutty flavor and somewhat creamy. The flavor was very light and gentle. This is a really nice looking cigar but a little pricey for my taste. Perhaps if given as a gift I would appreciate it more than spending my own money on it. But I can say if you were to spend so much on a cigar, it would be money well spent on the Davidoff Grand Cru.
