Review
Although the Opus X may be one of the most sought-out cigars in the market, its sister brand, the Diamond Crown, isn't far behind. Originally known for its complex and mild cigars, the Diamond Crown has shifted to making full-bodied smokes in the '90s. After years of perfecting the cigar, the result was the Maximus, a rare line of smokes sold in limited quantities due to the special aging method its tobacco undergoes. The cigar has been crafted by some of the greatest minds in the cigar industry, so expectations are definitely high in this one.
For what it's worth, the Maximus line is exceptionally exquisite starting with the full-bodied aroma of its sun-grown wrappers from El Bajo. Its rich flavor is also attributed to the fact that the wrapper is grown by the Oliva Family, famous for the fine tobaccos they produce. The Dominican filler specially aged for the Maximus gathers the flavors of coffee, earth, and cedar to create a robust and complex taste worth the smoking experience. Therefore, those who demand nothing short of maximum from their smoke will find the Diamond Crown Maximus fit for their royal tastes.

08:43 (EST)The Diamond Crown does not live up to its name. Great appearance and logo but just lacked the flavor needed to put make it a great smoke. Still worth smoking, just not a diamond.

07:46 (EST)The Diamond Crown had a not-so-good burn during the smoke. A shame, if you ask me, since the mild- to medium-bodied stick is beyond compare. There is depth in the smoke where different tones of black pepper and cream impose themselves throughout the process, but not to a point where overpowering between flavors was necessary. If you somehow get past to the difficulty of burn, then you may have tasted one of the better smokes on the market.

03:07 (EST)The impressive appearance of the Diamond Crown will have you expecting great things from the stick. Although it is dangerous to preempt yourself of a thing's essence based on appearance, this particular smoke will have none of that as it provide smokers with a mild and satisfying cigar. The consistency of the stogie lies in the way it slowly lays out the flavors throughout the burn process: the mild spicy notes in the first third and the distinct medium taste from the remains. Overall, the Diamond Crown will stir your desires for moderate smokes

11:47 (EST)I expected a powerful rush but after a few draws I surrendered to the mild taste. The appearance and construction is great so no problems on that department. It burned well and even and it was very smooth and creamy. A little pricey but I'm not really disappointed. Not great but not bad.

09:45 (EST)The Diamond Crown didn't burn so well in the beginning but not so much hassle after awhile. The flavor was a little nutty and somewhat smooth and creamy. But there was a strange after-taste that I could do without. It looks good and good construction too but for or 10 bucks this cigar could do better.

09:16 (EST)Despite the below-than-average appearance, the Diamond Crown did boast great pre-light smoke that puts your craving for the cigar. Upon burn, the smoker is greeted with smooth and creamy flavors that astound throughout the whole cigar. The thick smoke that engulfs the smoke is very much appreciated, thank you very much. Not to mention, the ample burn did not require touch-ups, which is imperative for a good smoking experience. Condensing all that has been said into a sentence, the Diamond Crown lives up to its name.
