Finally, a true El Rey legacy! The wrapper was superb, nice, and oily, and the burn was nothing less than perfect. Great balance of spice, earth, and nuttiness—in a medium-bodied cigar. Maybe some El Reys don’t match up, but this one surely does. Just ordered my next box.

The Rothschilde is a medium-bodied smoke with a great balance of spice and delicious earth flavors that produced a thick smoke. There is a bold complexity in its taste, which is even intensified by the great burn. However, the cigar had a tendency to lose some of its flavor at the halfway mark, but it regained its spunk with a dry peppery taste. Although there are a lot of cigars from the same line better than the Rothschilde, it doesn't take away the fact that it is a quality cigar, for what it's worth.
