Double wrap or not, this one looks better than it tastes. A weak link in one of my favorite lines, will stick with other Gurkhas from now on.

Outside the attractive wrapper and tough construction, the Doble Maduro is nothing to drag about. The mild-bodied smoke possesses a rather dull and bland flavor that leaves smokers longing for more. To its credit, the toasty profile of the cigars is not as bad as one would suspect. Coupled with a pleasant appearance and solid construction, the Doble Maduro is an enjoyable ditty. Still, the stogie could have added a few dimension to its taste and make it better in the process.

You have to find the perfect age for this one. Maybe keep it in your humi for about a year or so. The taste is strong, a little toasty and spicy. Personally I prefer medium to strong flavor but there's something about the taste on this one that needs a little toning down. The construction needs a little improvement. I'm not impressed with the fancy look, I would rather have it simple yet constructed with quality. I had to be careful holding it and that's not good. I want to smoke my cigar and feel relaxed, not having to watch over it and making sure it doesn't make a big mess.
