02:21 (EST)Cheap for a Gurkha, but between relatively bland flavor and casual construction I guess you get what you pay for. But hey, until I can afford top shelf every day this will do fine

08:53 (EST)Gurkha may have set its standards too high as the 1887 Toro gives off a good experience, but never great enough compared to the other cigars of the same line. Granted, there are no burn and draw issues with regard to this stick, offering smoker a fine experience all throughout. However, the stick lacks the consistency of great cigars because the fair tones of this pup lets up in the middle for bitter tones that eventually dominated the stogie.

04:04 (EST)I enjoyed the first few draws. It had a distinct taste that was both smooth and creamy. I liked that it was a little sweet too. But getting around the middle part, I felt like I was grasping for the taste. And sadly, it started to leave a bitter taste on my mouth towards the end. It started as a good mild smoke that burned evenly, but it just wasn't consistent. Since it is priced reasonably and it's not really so bad, it would still pass as a regular smoke.

04:09 (EST)I just love this! Very affordable price so I didn't expect to enjoy it but I was mistaken. It's not as strong as other cigars and I don't mind that at all. It's perfect for mild smokers like myself. It's constructed well even for a thin wrapper and I didn't have a problem with the draw.
