Review
A departure from the Upmann line in many ways, the Signature was introduced in 2007 to create a bit of excitement for the venerable brand.
The first Upmann produced in Honduras uses filler blended from Nicaraguan, Honduran and Peruvian tobacco, and a Nicaraguan binder. It comes in two wrappers, either natural (Nicaraguan-grown Connecticut Shade) or San Andres maduro.
Packed in a natty ebony-and-gold box, the Signature line has aroma to burn, and a complex, layered flavor not commonly found in mild cigars. A medium-bodied smoke that demands attention as the flavors change throughout the cigar, but also richly rewards it.
