Review
In 1860 José purchased the Hoyo de Monterrey farm and created from the finest Cuban tobacco what will be a time honored brand that gained fame back in 1865. By 1895 the Hoyo de Monterrey factory became the largest factory in Cuba, producing cigars that have been enjoyed by Presidents, Prime Ministers, Sultans, and Kings. The brand is highly regarded as one of the world's finest with production in both Cuba and Honduras.
Hoyo de Tradicion is a 5.7" x 45 cigar that pays homage to Hoyo's traditional taste by drawing a variety of pleasant nuances from its hand-selected blend of Honduran San Agustin, Dominican Piloto Cubano and Nicaraguan filler tobaccos from the remote island of Ometepe. These are paired with a robust Habano leaf Connecticut binder and finished with an attractive, oily, Viso Rosado wrapper from the Jamastran Valley of Honduras.
This hearty and rich blend creates a special aroma overflowing with earthy notes of nuts and refined sweetness. The result is a pleasurable, aromatic smoke that is smooth texture and medium in strength. The hearty, complex, but well balanced flavors make for a very pleasant experience from beginning to end.

12:57 (EST)The Hoyo de Monterrey Tradicion was just an average smoke. Not enough flavor to make me want to smoke another

07:25 (EST)A well balanced cigar with good flavor. The type of cigar to smoke while sitting on the patio.
