Review
Jose Padron created his namesake cigars in 1964 in Miami, Florida, from his Cuban roots. Later he moved his company to Nicaragua, but because of political instability, had to reestablish his business in Honduras. Though times were tough for the family, the Padrons put all their efforts in the quality of their cigars. However, because some cigar smokers thought the Padron cigars too strong for their taste, and the low price thought equivalent to quality, the Padron brand only produced three major lines—the Padron original, the 1964 Anniversary, and the 1926 Anniversary.
But the real cigar aficionados knew what the real Padron offered—excellence and complexity. Because the Padrons personally handled their manufacturing and distribution, they made sure each cigar was sold on identical price points everywhere. The medium- to full-bodied classic Padron cigar is made in either Natural or Maduro, with Nicaraguan binders and fillers. So far, the most successful line of the brand is the 1964 Anniversary—so popular that cigar stores always empty their stock soon after they get a new batch. The 1926 Anniversary, made to mark Jose Padron’s 7th birthday, is actually a full-bodied cigar made of tobacco leaves even rarer than the others.
The Padron name, in the cigar world, is synonymous to quality rather than quantity, and is respected the world over. If you’re in the market for rare cigars, this is one brand you should always consider.

09:55 (EST)Dont know what the hype is about the Padron cigar. Just an average cigar. Not much taste and the overall experience is just mediocre.

09:27 (EST)There are perfect cigars, and there are flawed ones. But sometimes, imperfection shows more character, more personality. This one had a bit of a construction problem, with some cracks and looseness here and there, but the flavors made up for what it lacked in appearance. There was a good blend of spice, sweetness, wood, and coffee that didn't all run into each other. Nondescript looks, but great personality

09:19 (EST)The Padron is not much in the looks department but all is forgiven when you light up. This whole natural wrapper is good but not for aging long term; the maduro is full flavored, mild/ medium in body, particularly strong on the chocolate flavor.

08:59 (EST)The original Padron, is a smooth operator. Its probably one of the more counterfeited cigars out there, with the Cohiba brand, but if you find a real one, you will enjoy the middle of the road boldness, with high end flavors.

01:00 (EST)When it comes to performance vis-à-vis the price, the Padron 2000 is as solid as one can get. The construction is adequate, the draw firm enough, and the burn does not require touch-ups. The smoke has a spicy start but soon transforms into a medium-bodied cigar with great hints of woods and herbs in the middle. The taste is definitely smooth and creamy and it never got to a point of losing its flavors. Due to its consistency and pleasant taste, the Padron 2000 is a worthy pick-up for your medium cigar needs.
