A super-basic cigar that delivers way above its great price. This is my first Mexican cigar, but I'll be sure to try more. Rustic old-school look, simple but smooth mild-medium flavor and consistently good (I hate harsh surprises).

What I like most about this cigar is that it's not pretending to be something that it's not. It's really cheap but it certainly exceeds what you would expect from a cigar that is sold at a very low price. The flavor is great, a creamy and nutty taste with no bitterness. Not too strong, maybe a mild to medium cigar. Good burn too.

Consistent should be the word to describe the Caballero. If there were any fluctuation to its bold and rich taste, then it had to be how delicious it got as the smoke went on. As for the appearance, some may find unease at its classic look. However, when a stick has an unmistakable burn and draw, appearance only comes secondary. The cigar taste best after a long hike in the mountains, where all you wish to do is celebrate your glory and achievement. The Caballero is essentially not a top-tier cigar, but it does get the job done.
